DONOR RECOGNITION

At the John J. Byrne Community Center, we deeply value the contributions of those who make our mission possible and believe they should be recognized by all for what they’ve done. To honor our donors, we’ve created meaningful ways to celebrate their generosity. Through these acknowledgments, we aim to express our gratitude and show how vital your support is in creating positive change in our community.

Galas

The Heroes in the Community Gala, first held in 2009, was a cornerstone event designed to spotlight our strategic vision and generate widespread awareness and support for our initiatives. By honoring prominent individuals who have made significant contributions to Long Island and the Uniondale community, the gala served as a platform to inspire engagement and encourage contributions toward building a stronger, more vibrant community. This landmark event exemplified our commitment to recognizing excellence and rallying resources to drive meaningful change.

Donor Tree

We honor our donor’s generosity with our donor appreciation wall in the form of a flourishing tree that stands proudly in the center’s lobby as a lasting symbol of appreciation. Each engraved part, whether a leaf, stone, branch, or even the trunk, represents the generosity of individuals, families, and organizations that support our work. It’s a beautiful and permanent tribute, seen daily by everyone who enters our center. With each tier, donors have the opportunity to personalize their choice. You can choose to have your name inscribed or dedicate in memory of, or in honor of loved ones, milestones, or other celebrations. This personal touch serves as a lasting testament to your personal or commemorative investment in the welfare of the community. Check below to see the different tiers. Remember that every donation, no matter how small, helps!
