The John J. Byrne Community Center is hosting an art display celebrating Black History Month from now through the first week of March. The display features works of art that highlight the diversity of Black history throughout America, including during the Great Depression (with art by Howard Taft Lorenz) and the post-Reconstruction South (with art by William Henry Huddle), as well as 19th/20th-century musical traditions.
We invite everyone to our community center to see these beautiful works of art while they’re on display. To learn even more about Black History Month, we invite you on March 1st to attend our Black History Is More Than a Month event. More information about the event can be found here. We can’t wait to see you there!
