John J. Byrne Community Center is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team of volunteers! This is your opportunity to give back to your community, build valuable skills, and create meaningful connections.

Why Volunteer with Us?

By becoming a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting programs and events that enrich the lives of Uniondale residents. From community festivals and youth programs to health fairs and educational workshops, there’s a place for everyone to contribute.

Priority Volunteer Needs:

We especially need volunteers to help during our hours of operation:

• Weekdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekends: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Special Activities: 5:00 PM +

Note – Volunteers are needed for a minimum of 2-hr time slots during our hours of operation to support a variety of ongoing programs and activities, including:

• Seminars and Workshops: Help organize and assist participants in sessions on financial literacy, health and wellness, and career development.
• Reading Clubs: Engage with readers of all ages to foster a love for literature and storytelling.
• Computer Clubs: Support digital literacy by guiding participants through basic computer skills, coding, or online navigation.
• Board Games and Recreational Activities: Facilitate fun, interactive sessions for community members to connect and unwind.

Whether you’re available during the day, in the evening, or on weekends, your time and skills can make a meaningful impact.
