Build the Fields Our Kids Deserve

Every dollar you give is doubled in strength.

For forty years, the John J. Byrne Community Center has been where Uniondale’s children play, learn, and grow. Right now, 150-200 young athletes use our soccer fields at 925 Jerusalem Avenue every season – and those fields need real investment: safe turf, fencing, lighting, and the infrastructure a growing community deserves.

We have applied for a $150,000 New York State grant opportunity for Phase 1 of our fields project, and awards favor projects with committed community co-investment. That is where you come in: every dollar pledged strengthens our application AND builds the fields directly.

$25 – team water and game-day supplies  |  $52 – honors the 52 trees our coaches planted  |  $100 – a season of field maintenance for one young athlete + Donor Plaque recognition
$250 Green Leaf, $500 Bronze, $1,000 Silver, $2,500 Gold, and $5,000 Platinum Leaf – each engraved on the donor tree in our main gathering room, where the whole community assembles. Personalize yours: your name, your family, your business, in memory of, or in honor of someone you love.

A community already at work

Our volunteer coaches have planted 52 trees alongside the fields and donated their own labor to irrigation. Two youth soccer organizations play here today, with school athletic programs using the fields under paid use agreements. The demand is real; the kids are here; the fields just need to catch up to them.
