Uniondale Community Council Family Craft Day

In recognition of National Youth Services Month, the Uniondale Community Council is hosting a Family Craft Day.

Event Details

📅 Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
🕚 Time: Families are invited to stop in between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM

John J. Byrne Community Center
925 Uniondale Ave., Uniondale, NY 11553

Join the fun with family-friendly craft activities including painting a rock, making a card, creating a paper roll character, and more.

In addition to craft items that can be taken home, participants are asked to make and donate one completed craft project as a community service project. Suggested donations include a painted rock for a community garden or a creative object or card to be shared with patients in a local nursing home.

Parents are asked to attend with children at this family event.

Volunteer Information

Older high school students are welcome to volunteer to assist during all or part of the craft day or help with preparation of materials prior to May 2nd. Community service credit will be awarded.
